Accessibility Statement

GardenDaddies makes every effort to keep its website accessible to people with disabilities, in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at conformance level AA, as well as the applicable legal framework (Greek Law 4727/2020 and Directive (EU) 2016/2102).

This website is largely conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. “Largely conformant” means that some parts of the content may not fully conform to the standard, as described in the “Non-accessible content” section below.

The website has been designed with accessibility in mind from the ground up, and includes, among others:

• Full navigation and operation using the keyboard alone, with a clear focus indicator on every element.
• A “Skip to content” link that bypasses the menu.
• Semantic structure (landmarks, headings) and ARIA labels for screen-reader compatibility.
• Alternative (alt) text on all meaningful images.
• Text colour contrast that meets level AA.
• Content that reflows and stays readable when zoomed up to 200% without loss of information.
• Respect for the system “reduce motion” preference.
• A fully translated interface in Greek, English and Russian, with each page’s language declared.

In addition, an accessibility toolbar (bottom-left on every page) lets visitors increase or decrease the text size, switch on a high-contrast mode and reduce motion. These choices are remembered for future visits.

Despite our efforts, some parts may not be fully accessible:

• The final card or PayPal payment step is completed on our payment providers' systems and, for some methods, on the WooCommerce/WordPress platform (third-party software); those screens may not fully conform. The rest of the checkout is part of this website and is built to the same accessibility standard.
• Content provided by third parties (e.g. embedded maps or product descriptions) may not fully conform.
• Some older documents or media may not yet be in a fully accessible format.

The website’s accessibility is monitored with automated checks that run on every code change (eslint-plugin-jsx-a11y rules in continuous integration). Supplementary manual testing — keyboard-only navigation and screen-reader testing — together with tool-based audits such as Lighthouse, is planned before final certification.
